We believe that the most important piece in Martial Arts training is the character of the warrior. This philosophy creates individuals with whom we are proud to be associated. We incorporate character building, ethical training and mindfulness training in all our classes for all ages.
We are a traditional Martial Arts School where the focus is on self discipline and self control. We create mindful focus in all our students through mental, emotional and physical practice. Students learn Integrity, Courtesy, Self Control, and Perseverance by a process of self discovery and empowerment.
Universal TaeKwon-Do, Fernley has been teaching traditional martial arts to the residents of Fernley, Silver Springs, Lovelock, Fallon and Yerington for more than 13 years. We are Fernley's first and finest Martial Arts School. We offer classes for children and adults in the evening and during the day. Our after school Martial Arts program is in it's seventh year and provides daily character and martial arts lessons for all Fernley school children. We transport from all Fernley area schools!

Welcome To Relentless Martial Arts
Thank you for choosing Relentless Martial arts. We appreciate the trust you put in us as you journey towards martial arts and life mastery.
I am often asked, “Why Relentless?” It is a word with a lot of extra meaning. And it is for that very reason, I chose relentless. That and the fact that one day when we were “playing” Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu someone said, 'Man, you are relentless!' It stuck with me.
When I think of the word relentless, I think of determination, passion, drive, indomitable spirit. We want to be relentless in our drive toward knowledge. Relentless in our quest for physical fitness. Relentless in our thirst for transformation into the world of life mastery.
Namaste,
SahBumNim John Mariotti
SPECIAL GREETING FROM JOHN
My name is John Mariotti and I have been teaching Martial Arts for 15 years and have owned the school here in Fernley since 1995. We have had an After School Martial Arts program for 6 years and this is the 6th summer camp we have hosted. Each camp is different based on the attendees, the activities planned and the teachers in the program. We try to maintain a daily schedule and still remain flexible to the needs of our campers and the dynamics of the group. Your child will be invited to join our afterschool program in the fall if you wish.
The most important thing I teach is Focus. I believe if your child learns to focus their energy, thoughts, and actions they can be successful everywhere in their lives. Focus requires structure, discipline and motivation. We will be working on this every day of camp. I believe in a gentle way of teaching, requesting performance and being firm about getting the needed activity. I believe we all do best when encouraged and exhorted to improve rather than the opposite.
It is my intention to inspire your child to transform, blossoming into the person they are truly meant to become. We will be doing this in a number of ways but they include taking care of their immediate environment and helping with the daily chores around the school. I also ask that they make their bed daily. This small task ensures two things…it guarantees the achievement of something every day and it shows that I can control parts of my environment. If you would be so kind as to show your child how you would like their bed to be made, I would appreciate it. We will be visiting the community garden several times a week and working there to encourage and teach your child about their connection to the earth and all the things that nourish us on a daily basis. This is about more than food by the way. Each child will have their own garden patch. They will decide what to plant, and they will water their garden, weed it and harvest it. We will begin the 11th on the planning part of this project. If you have any seeds or plants to donate please let me know. The garden project is designed to help their understanding of long range goal planning and delayed gratification as well as persistence and, honestly, a disappointment or 2 along the way (not everything grows!) Your child will be taking a daily Martial Arts lesson as well. Their regular attendance will ensure that, by the end of the summer, they will be ready for their yellow belt test. Again this is an achievement that they have them understand the power of focus, the power of small actions taken daily and the power of their own abilities.
Namaste
